General Information and Services
The Telecommunications Department is responsible for supporting telephone services and related requirements for the University community. This includes dial tone, telephone sets, telephone billing, call processing, voicemail, cellular/wireless services, and the overall cabling infrastructure.

Features include: 3-way calling. Call Forwarding, 8-Party Conference Calling , and the digital D-Term Station phone .
Voicemail / Enhanced Voicemail
The University has installed an Octel Voice Messaging System to provide Voice Mail Service to Faculty and Staff. If you wish to have Voicemail service, contact your department to obtain permission and notify the Office of Information Technology via our Help Desk at extension 2920. Unanswered calls to an extension will be automatically forwarded to an extension mailbox.

Cellular Phones
Requests for cellular service must be submitted by a department head. Current vendors include Nextel, Cingular, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless. The University is currently preparing a Request for Proposal for cellular/wireless services from several carriers. Relevant information will be posted.
