Technology Store

Departmental Computer Purchases

MySJUDepartmental purchases can be made through MySJU. After logging in, click on the School Services tab then:

  • Administrative Services
    • Employee Services
      • Technology Purchasing

This store will provide faculty and staff the ability to purchase the recommended computer hardware, software, and peripherals on-line.

Once submitted, orders will be routed to the appropriate department managers (and their designees) for final purchase approval. Department mangers will ensure that the proper account codes have been used and there is adequate funding for the purchase.

Information Technology will still handle receipt of the equipment, installation scheduling, and payment of invoices

University Laptop Program

Haub School of Business

All students enrolled in the Haub School of Business, including Undecided Business majors, are required to have a laptop that meets the HSB minimum requirements, for the first day of class. Click here to see the recommended system requirements for the 2008-09 Academic Year.

To facilitate the program, the Haub School of Business once again has partnered with Lenovo Corporation for the 2008-09 Academic Year. Lenovo offers our students specially priced, pre-imaged laptops meeting the SJU computing requirements.

The laptops are bundle with popular computer accessories such as a carrying case, USB memory drive, Ethernet cable and security lock. In addition, the bundle includes a four-year system warranty, and a four-year ThinkPad Protection Warranty. The combination of these warranties protects students against hardware failure and accidental damage. Students wanting theft protection have the option of purchasing Computrace® LoJack® for Laptops. More information on pricing and features of this service can be found on the Lenovo web site.

Students may purchase a recommended system beginning May 1, 2008 on the HSB/Lenovo web site: http://www.lenovo.com/shop/deals/hsb. Place all orders by August 1, 2008 to ensure a timely delivery.

*Please note – Laptops come with a Microsoft Vista Business License, but are imaged with Microsoft Windows XP Professional. Saint Joseph's University will not support Microsoft Vista before Fall 2009. When support becomes available, students purchasing through the laptop program will have the option of upgrading to Vista at no additional cost.
