Instructional Technology and Distributed Learning Policies

GUIDELINES AND POLICIES 

  • Reservations for equipment, software, or the use of an ITC room must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Audiovisual equipment and services are restricted to the main campus
    .
  • The ITC will no longer deliver laptops to Media-enhanced classrooms. If you are in need of a laptop please contact your department head or the ITC.
  • Audiovisual equipment and services are not available for the personal use of faculty, students, or staff.

  • Faculty and staff may borrow software for up to seven days if the item has not already been scheduled for a classroom presentation during that time. Software is subject to recall if needed for classroom use.

  • Students may check out non-video software for three days. Videos may be used by students in the IMC.
  •  

    OVERDUES AND FINES

    There will be a late charge for any piece of equipment or software that is overdue.

    FINES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

    Audiovisual Equipment:
    Projectors, Tape Recorders, Polaroid Cameras, Screens, Overheads etc.

    $2/day

    Audiovisual Software

    $1/day

    Video Equipment:
    VCRs, TVs, All-in-One TV/VCR unit etc.

    $5/day

    Camcorders, Laptops, & Digital Cameras

    $10/day

    Equipment and software will be considered late if not returned by the date and time listed in the checkout log. Fines are due when the items are returned. If they are not paid then, they will be charged to student accounts at the Treasurer's Office.
