Accessing Your J: Drive (Home Folder) on the SJU Network

What is your "J: Drive"?

Every faculty member, staff member, and student of Saint Joseph's has what is called a "J: Drive", also known as a home drive or home folder. This is space allotted to you on the SJU network for you to store important files and documents. Anytime you login to a MS Window-based university computer, your personal J: Drive will automatically be available for you to access. Macintosh users can manually mount their home folder by following the directions provided below.

You can view your quota at anytime using our ViewQuota online application. NOTE: You will need to login using your network username and password.

How do I access my J: Drive from my personal computer?

Choose your operating system from the choices below for instructions on connecting to your J: Drive.

Windows 98

  1. Right click on My Computer and click Map Network Drive...
  2. Select J: for Drive and type in \\sju_fs1\homes for Folder. Click Finish.
  3. If you are prompted for a User name and Password, please enter your NETWORK account information. If you did not receive or have misplaced your computer account information, Click Here or contact the Student Help Desk at 610-660-3070 (x3070) for instructions on obtaining your computer account information.
