Banner Access
To access Banner's self service features, users must first log onto MySJU, the University's information portal, click on the School Services tab and then click on the Administrative Services link.
To access "native" Banner, a Banner account must be established and a security profile assigned to the user. A Banner security profile requires approval from a Banner Security Officer. The Security Officer contacts the IT Help Desk with the account request and the IT Operations staff then creates the account for the user.
The following individuals have the authority to request security changes to the Banner user profiles for objects in their respective modules. Contact the Security Officer in your module to request Banner security access.

Change Banner Password
You can use the Oracle Password Change Form
GUAPSWD to change your Banner (Oracle) password. The new password becomes effective when you exit and re-enter Banner. If you have an ID in the Banner test database (PPNX), you must change this password separately.

The Oracle User ID field contains your current Banner ID and cannot be changed. Enter your current password in the Oracle Password Field. Your current password must be entered correctly before you can continue. Next, enter your new password in the New Oracle Password field. Re-enter the new password in the Verify Password field exactly as you entered it in the New Oracle Password field. Your password should have a minimum of six characters. Passwords must begin with a letter, but numbers can be used anywhere else in the password. Your password should contain no spaces. If you try to use a number or some other non-alphabetic character in the first position, you will get the Banner error message “Verify New Oracle Password” or “New Oracle Password”. Click OK. You should get a message saying: “Password has been changed – Reconnecting”.
